Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance

Richard’s Work

Richard often works alongside the doctors and paramedics who fly in the air ambulance in his role as a pre-hospital emergency doctor.

I’m extremely humbled by the tireless work the crew and everyone at Lincs and Notts Air ambulance do. I’m proud to be supporting them!

Saving Lives

The Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance is a dedicated Helicopter Emergency Medical Service. It can reach any point in the two counties in less than 20 minutes and on average can transfer a patient to hospital within 8 minutes. Each mission costs approx £2,500 and it flies an average of 3 missions per day, 365 days of the year. Each year the charity needs to raise £2.5m to keep flying and saving lives.

Highly Specialised

Since the charity began over 23 years ago, it has undertaken  more than 18,600 life-threatening missions, delivering specialist medical attention to the people of Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire in their greatest hour of need. Travelling at speeds sometimes in excess of 200 mph, the skilled team of pilots, doctors and paramedics effectively bring the equivalent of an A&E department to the scene off an incident and can transport a patient to a specialist unit or major hospital in a fraction of the time taken by road ambulance.

Raising Money

Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance are constantly looking for charitable revenue streams as they battle to keep the helicopter in the air, saving lives.
