Old Man on the Ocean on BBC Radio Lincolnshire
This morning I did my very first radio interview for Old Man On the Ocean through Scott Dalton’s breakfast show at BBC Radio Lincolnshire.
I was thrilled to have been invited to talk about my challenge and the great cause that I am raising money for and this was my first chance to get in front of a large audience to spread the word.
I was a bag of nerves just before we went live, but luckily, I think it all went OK and I was really happy with the finished interview. I have had some great feedback from people who have heard it, some of whom were already aware of my story, but others who were finding out about it for the first time. This was really encouraging to see. If you are happening upon my blog for the first time why not say “hi” over on my Facebook page? It really makes the world of difference to me to know that people are finding out about my adventure!
If you missed the interview, you can find it here or by clicking on the image above. Please have a listen and let me know what you think.
In other news, my wife Anna and I are heading over to Ireland in the next couple of weeks to pick up my boat! I’m so excited to get her over the sea and closer to home. It is milestones like these that make the monotony of rowing for hours most nights bearable, and remind me that I am indeed making progress.
